Leather Care

Leather is a natural material. Gentle care helps preserve the look and feel of your Jantwig leather AirTag case over time.

Everyday Cleaning

Wipe away dust with a soft, dry cloth. For light surface marks, gently wipe with a slightly damp cloth without soaking the leather. Test on a small, hidden area first, and allow the case to air-dry completely.

Avoid vigorous rubbing, stiff brushes, and abrasive cleaning tools.

Keep It Away from Excess Moisture

Avoid soaking, machine washing, or prolonged exposure to rain and humidity.

If your case gets wet, remove the AirTag, gently blot the leather with a soft, dry cloth, and let it dry naturally in a ventilated area. Allow the case to dry fully before reinserting your AirTag.

Do not use a hair dryer, radiator, or other direct heat source.

Avoid Heat and Prolonged Sunlight

Prolonged exposure to sunlight and high temperatures can cause leather to fade, dry out, or change shape. Keep your case away from heaters and avoid leaving it in a hot car.

Keep Chemicals Away

Avoid contact with alcohol, hand sanitizer, bleach, household cleaners, perfume, and solvents. These substances may discolor the leather or damage its finish.

Do not apply oils, waxes, or leather conditioners unless they are confirmed suitable for your case’s specific leather and finish. Some treatments may darken the leather or change its texture.

Handle and Store with Care

Keep sharp objects away from the leather, and avoid excessive bending, stretching, or pulling around openings and fastenings.

When not in use, store your case in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Avoid sealing damp leather in plastic.

Natural Character and Aging

Variations in grain, texture, and tone are natural characteristics of leather. With everyday use, your case may soften and develop a patina—a gradual change in appearance that reflects how it is used.

Some dyed leathers may transfer color when damp or exposed to friction. Take extra care when placing your case against light-colored fabrics.
